Metric: Earn Edge From Active Liquidity Pools
Metric lets liquidity providers earn Edge, a share of the spreads paid by traders using its Active Pools. Earnings stay in the position and compound automatically. This is a funded DeFi opportunity: you deposit assets, pay network costs and take market and protocol risk. Returns depend on whether trades use your liquidity.
About Metric
Metric is a decentralized exchange whose pools separate pricing from liquidity. A Price Provider sets quotes from oracles, onchain data or custom rules. Curators choose that provider and the pool settings; liquidity providers choose the price ranges, called bins, that they fund. When the reference price moves, the ranges move with it.
The source listing describes deployments on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. Check the app and official deployment documentation for the network and pool you intend to use. A pool’s tier, curator, pricing logic, fees and withdrawal permissions matter more than a displayed historical APR.
Edge is trading-spread revenue, not a guaranteed return. Unused bins earn nothing. Trades can change the mix of tokens you hold, and withdrawing can return a different ratio than you deposited. Metric’s official documentation warns that liquidity providers can lose their entire deposit. No confirmed token allocation is included in this guide.

Step-by-Step Guide to Metric Liquidity Rewards
- Review the risks and pool controls. Read Metric’s risks and safeguards and liquidity guide. Check whether custom extensions can restrict withdrawals.
- Open the official app. Visit Metric, select the correct supported network and review its terms. Connect your EVM wallet only if you decide to proceed. Keep the required assets and native gas token available.
- Compare public pools. Review the token pair, liquidity, tier, pricing source, curator and fee shares. Historical Edge APR is not a forecast. Even pools with stronger safeguards carry risk.
- Choose bins and review the allocation. Select the ranges you want to fund and enter the amounts. Depending on the selected bins, the app may require one token or both. Inspect any spending approval and transaction before confirming a deposit yourself.
- Track Edge and trading performance. Only trades using your funded bins generate Edge. Earnings compound without a separate claim. Compare the position with simply holding the assets, since spread earnings alone do not establish a profit.
- Manage or withdraw. Open your position, select the amount to remove and review the tokens you will receive before confirming. Check permissions first. A different token ratio or a fall in asset prices can reduce the value returned.
Learn & Earn: What Are Active Liquidity Pools?
Active liquidity pools separate pricing from the assets available to trade. A price provider sets a reference quote using an oracle, onchain data or custom rules. Liquidity providers fund price ranges around that quote, and the ranges move when the reference changes. Metric calls these ranges bins.
Why it matters: Your bins earn a share of trading spreads only when swaps use their liquidity. Earnings compound, but unused liquidity earns nothing. Changing token balances, market exposure and pool permissions still affect your result.
