Offline Protocol: Mine MINE Points With Your Phone
Offline Protocol is rewarding people who help expand its peer-to-peer connectivity network. The MINE app can turn a compatible iOS or Android phone into a mesh relay node, letting the device pass data between nearby peers when normal internet connectivity is weak or unavailable. Active sessions and network contributions earn MINE points.
You can add to your point balance through daily, weekly, monthly, achievement, and location-based missions. Referral rewards currently pay 10% of the points your referrals mine, with tier multipliers that can reach 2x as your network grows. Offline Protocol has not announced a native-token conversion for MINE points, so treat the points as the current reward rather than a guaranteed token claim.
About Offline Protocol
Offline Protocol provides a communication layer designed to keep devices authenticating, communicating, and coordinating without relying on a central server. Its Dynamic Offline Relay Switch routes messages across Bluetooth LE, WiFi Direct, internet, Reticulum, and Nostr, and can relay messages across multiple nearby devices.
The official site says the network is live across more than 350,000 devices in over 80 countries. OfflineID supplies device-to-device identity, while the mesh stack supports encrypted relaying, retry, deduplication, and route failover. Every relay still uses phone battery, radio access, and device permissions, so review the app’s privacy settings and keep your operating system current before running long sessions.
Step-by-Step Guide for Offline Protocol
- Download the MINE app: Install MINE for iOS or MINE for Android, then create your account.
- Start a relay session: Follow the in-app setup, enable only the permissions you understand, and start your first mining session so the phone can contribute relay capacity.
- Complete missions: Work through available daily, weekly, monthly, achievement, and geo missions. Track peers, relayed data, mining time, rewards, and leaderboard progress inside MINE.
- Build a referral network: Open your OfflineID referral page, share your referral link, and monitor the 10% referral-point share and any tier multiplier shown in your account.
- Review the technology: Read Offline Protocol’s mesh-networking explainer to understand how nearby phones relay traffic and how sessions use device resources.
