Dolomite: Understand the Rewards Before You Deposit
Dolomite lets you lend crypto assets, borrow against collateral and explore automated strategies across supported networks. Its current incentive ecosystem includes USD1 Points, community XP and oDOLO liquidity rewards. These programs have different requirements; they are not interchangeable cash payouts.
The official USD1 Points guide requires a minimum 1,000 USD1 balance. Its walkthrough uses Dolomite’s Ethereum deployment. Eligible USD1 earns points and variable lending yield without a separate staking or claim step. Points are a program score, not a verified promise of a future token allocation.
What Is Dolomite?
Dolomite is a decentralized money-market protocol. Its app separates Discover, Portfolio, Loans, Strategies and Rewards. Lending provides assets to a market; an isolated loan has its own collateral and debt. Automated strategies may combine lending, borrowing and swaps, so the risk can be much greater than a simple deposit.
Three Rewards, Three Different Mechanics
- USD1 Points: Hold at least 1,000 USD1 in the protocol under current terms. The official guide says eligible supplied, collateralized or strategy-held USD1 can accrue points.
- oDOLO: The official mechanics describe weekly incentives that must be paired 1:1 with DOLO for one week before purchasing discounted veDOLO. Discounts range from 5% for a one-week lock to 50% for two years, subject to a $0.03 minimum execution price. This route requires DOLO, payment and a lock; it does not automatically deliver liquid DOLO.
- Community XP: Eligible campaigns recognize activity and can grant community levels or access. The official XP guide says the historical airdrop used a January 6, 2025 snapshot and its claim window is closed. New XP does not change that historical allocation.
During our public dashboard check, Ethereum displayed “No assets earning oDOLO on this chain.” That state can change by network or epoch; check eligible assets and current distributions rather than assume every deposit earns every reward. Wallet-specific eligibility and rewards were not tested.
Opportunity Snapshot
- Cost: Capital and gas; 1,000 USD1 minimum for points.
- Skill level: Intermediate.

- Reward: USD1 Points, variable lending yield and eligible incentives. No guaranteed payout.
Step-by-Step Guide to Dolomite Rewards
- Review eligibility. Read the official terms and documentation. Confirm your jurisdiction, network and asset requirements before proceeding.
- Inspect the live app. Open Dolomite and review Discover, Portfolio and Rewards. Connect an appropriate wallet only after checking the official domain and permissions.
- Choose a program. For USD1 Points, follow the official Ethereum walkthrough and verify the current minimum 1,000 USD1 balance. Deposits require capital and network fees. Lending yield varies and withdrawals depend on available liquidity.
- Check reward conditions. Use the Rewards dashboard to inspect point totals, eligible oDOLO assets and the current epoch. Avoid assuming an advertised incentive applies to your network or position.
- Understand oDOLO before redeeming. Read the token mechanics, pairing period, execution floor and lock terms. Pairing, purchasing and locking create additional cost and liquidity exposure. The documented instant-exit buyback can pause when its funding pool is depleted.
- Explore optional community activity. Review Community XP and the official Galxe campaigns. Check which campaigns remain open and what each task requires.
- Monitor risk. Track balances, rates and incentives. If you choose borrowing or leveraged strategies, understand collateral limits, liquidation and repayment before approving transactions.
We did not connect a wallet, accept the app’s terms, deposit assets, borrow, claim rewards or test withdrawals. Smart-contract, asset-price, stablecoin, liquidity and liquidation risks remain. Do not deposit solely to chase an unannounced airdrop.
Learn & Earn: What Is Overcollateralized Lending?
Overcollateralized lending means posting more collateral value than you borrow. Dolomite and Aave are examples of protocols using collateral requirements to manage lending risk. Prices and rates can change after a loan opens.
Why it matters: Supplying USD1 for points does not require borrowing. Adding leverage creates a separate liquidation risk. Start with Dolomite’s official documentation and compare fees and possible losses with the reward terms.
